Recent Scholarship Recipients
Student Scholarship Program
We annually award up to three (3) competitive awards of $500.00 scholarships for eligible students or student group who have demonstrated outstanding participation and knowledge in environmental activities. Scholarships must go towards tuition at a 4-year university or 2-year degree program.

- St. Clair Shores residents or school students
- Outstanding high school juniors/seniors
- Student Groups (all levels)
About our Scholarship Program
Preparation
- Become a leader in environmental matters.
- Participate in environmental programs (SCSWEC activities are favored but are not required).
- Work with a teacher who supervises or is aware of your excellent efforts.
Apply
Applicants submit an application to the Waterfront Environmental Committee, which is reviewed by its Scholarship Subcommittee

Procedure
- Record participation in environmental activities.
- Obtain one letter of recommendation on letterhead from one of your current or past teachers or a recognized civic leader.
- Complete application form, including answers to at least four out of six of the questions about Lake St. Clair.
- Submit by deadline.

Applications may also be dropped off at the St. Clair Shores City Clerk’s office. Additional copies of the Scholarship Application form can be downloaded from the city’s website or can be picked up at the St. Clair Shores City Clerk’s office.
